Head of House Edge

The job

We are hiring a senior leader to own the house edge across all tables. The edge is currently 2.7%. Your mandate is not to change it — the math is settled — but to be personally accountable for it: to represent it in meetings, defend it in writing, and answer for it when a host loses eleven hands in a row and files a support ticket addressed to "whoever is in charge of luck."

What you'll do

• Own the house edge as a KPI you cannot influence
• Join incident calls when probability behaves exactly as documented
• Prepare quarterly board updates on the number 2.7
• Reassure hosts that variance is temporary, in writing, with citations
• Escalate to mathematics as needed

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of accountability for outcomes you did not cause
• Comfortable being cc'd on every losing streak in the EMEA region
• Can say "expected value" in a soothing tone
• Working familiarity with numbers between 0 and 1
• References from at least two people you have disappointed statistically
